Stop Buying Work Clothes: Turn Your Weekend Wear to Professional Office Outfits

Ladies, we are all too familiar with that dreaded look in a closet full of stuff but still can’t find anything to wear. It’s bad enough when you can’t find anything for the girls night out but what about when you can’t find anything to wear to work? That sucks even worse because we need to look and be our best at work since it is the place that pays the bills and funds the fun. But who really wants to spend extra money on office outfits when the people who really matter aren’t there to confirm your cuteness *wink*.
It really doesn’t matter if you have a new job, an old job, or if you just made a vow to do more things to improve self confidence, dressing well is important. In some ways it forces people to take you seriously and it can be a tiny reminder to self that you are not a bum and you are about your business. Fortunately, dressing well doesn’t have to mean spending too much money on clothes. You don’t need office outfits, happy our outfits, weekend walks in the park outfits, and errands outfits if you just buy garments that can be reworked for anything on day’s schedule.
Sometimes it’s just a matter of adding a second layer or switching up the types of shoes that you wear. Below of is a list of basic items you need to start purchasing in order to get the most out of your wardrobe without spending too much money.
Pieces That Can Switch from Weekend Wear to Office Outfits.
- The Simple Maxi Dress: Boohoo.com has some really cute low priced options. CLICK HERE to see some cute maxi for low. For work I would wear a Long Cardigan, especially my curvy ladies. A cardigan is perfect for covering your hips and bottom, which might be a distraction at work. But after work, toss the cover up and flaunt your stuff.
- A Bomb Ass Jumpsuit: Click here for my favorite. They have lots with wide leg but the skinny leg is my favorite because this is what makes it pop when you are partying. For work just throw on some nice low pumps and a blazer. If your job is super strict, Skip the tight skinny leg jumpsuit and try this tailored jumpsuit. Pop on a blazer and you are ready for the boardroom meeting. After work, Ditch the jacket and grab a drink. On the weekends some open toe sandals will make this cute and comfy for errands.
- A Long line Midi Skirt: Click here for these must haves. These are even cute with some converse sneakers if you ask me. But for work just pick a loose Blouse. You want it to be loose since the skirt is kind of tight. We can’t give these work people too much, ya know. Have fun with you blouse. Choose prints and strips to add flavor. After work be daring and show some skin, switch to a cami or a crop top (bralet). Put your cami or crop top under your work blouse so you can skip the bathroom pitstop and go straight to your friends after work.
