4 Men Products You Should Definitely Start Using In Your Skincare Routine

The other day I took a new blade from my man’s pack of razors and put it on his razor handle in place of his dirty, used, hair-filled, disgusting blade. As I was in the shower doing my usual skincare routine and shaving my legs in preparation for the first day of Spring, he came in as if he had a problem with me using his blade.
“Seriously babe, what’s mine is yours and besides yours is better,” was my nonchalant reply and I rolled my eyes as if I had just stated the obvious. I’ve literally never gotten cut using his blades. No matter what he says, I am never going back to women’s razors. This made me think a bit more about all of his other products that I used that he had no idea about. Some of these product were staples in my makeup and beauty regimens. They either worked better than the female version in my opinion or I completely repurposed them for something totally unrelated.
Aside from his razor and the occasional drunken use of his toothbrush (ew! I know, but don’t judge), here are a few more Men’s Grooming products that women should seriously consider using:
- TO KEEP YOUR MAKEUP IN PLACE: Use the Nivea Post Shave Balm for Sensitive Skin. If you wear makeup, you probably know that by 2:00 pm your makeup will be gone or in desperate need of a touch up and who has time to redo make up in the middle of the day. This men’s shaving balm is the perfect face primer. It’s cheap too. Those high end face primers can cost you about a pretty penny but this stuff only costs about $6. Try it, your makeup will last longer and you will look great for your fun night out with your girls without wasting money by redoing makeup. Makeup is expensive, stretch it as far as you can.
2. TO SLEEK YOUR EYE BROWS and BABY HAIRS: Use the CanYouHandlebar All-Natural Secondary Moustache Wax. Men use it to tame unruly flyaway mustache hairs but, honey, let me tell you the miracle that this stuff works on your unibrow and hair edges. This stuff is way better than using gel because it doesn’t flake and is all natural. It’s also less expensive than those pomades you find in the beauty stores.
3. For Smooth Legs and Under Arms: Use the Barbasol Shaving Cream. This stuff is just better. Period. Point blank the end. It has much more lather. It’s thicker and what sold me is it’s much cheaper. I am not sure why they hike the price up on women stuff but take it from me. After you steal your man’s razors, go take some of his shaving cream and thank me later.
4. For Kissable Non-Crusty Lips: Use the No. 7 Men’s Energizing Face Scrub. I hope I am not the only one with crusty lips but I find that sometimes I can literally peel the skin off my lips and it’s not cute when you are wearing your BOMB Ruby Red lipstick by MAC. If you’ve ever bought a lip scrub then you know it comes in the tinier than the human eye can see jar for like ten bucks. I mean really…. who has coins to pay $10 for a dime size amount of product. I started using this exfoliator to scrub my lips and it does me wonders. This jar is HUGE and there’s plenty for my babe to use it for what it’s intended for; scrubbing the day’s dirt from his face away.
What other men’s products have you used in your skincare routine to save money or that are better than the women’s version.
